Minimum day on Monday May 2 / Lunes 2 de mayo sera dίa mίnimo

As you know every first Monday of the month we have our monthly staff meetings. Monday May 2 will be a minimum day for students as the school day will end at 12 pm. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us from 8:00-2:30 pm. Mr. V will be on recess until May 2nd and will not be available until then.

Este lunes 2 de mayo será día mínimo para los estudiantes debido a una junta regional del distrito. El maestro Valentín estará de vacaciones hasta el dia 2 de mayo pero habrá alguien con quien comunicarse. Si tienen alguna pregunta favor de llamar a la escuela de 8:00-2:30 pm. Gracias.

California State Testing/Examenes del Estado de California

Next week students will be taking the California Standards Tests (CSTs). It is very important that all students attend next week as everyone will need to be tested. Please have your child/student arrive early to school to allow us to start the exams on time.

Parent - Teacher Conferences were a Success!!! / Conferencias de Padres Fueron Exitosas

I would like to thank the parents for making the effort to attend parent conferences with their child. Our day went as planned as we had a great majority of students and parents attend. First Avenue Literacy Program does its best to keep parents involved with their child's/student's education. Never hesitate to communicate any questions or concerns you may have. You are an intricate part to the success of your child/student, please continue to support your student at home and in the classroom.

Parent Conferences - April 15

It is that time again!!! Your child has received their 10 week report card and we will hold parent conferences to discuss your child's academic progress. Conferences are scheduled for April 15th. Please let your child know when is the best time for you to come in. I will take appointments on a first come first serve basis. Thank you.
